I am getting ready to start on the DT-04 Fighter NXGEN kit. I usually try to build new kits with full ball bearings instead of the included plastic bushings. Unfortunately, as of publishing, Tamiya has not released their full DT-04 Full Ball Bearing Set (22092).

I dug around my stash of new and used bearings and managed to find a complete set. They are obviously from hodgepodge sets judging from the different color rubber seals.

In time meantime, if you’re trying to put together your own set of DT-04 ball bearings, here are the ones you’ll need.

DT-04 Full Ball Bearing Set (22092) includes:

• 850 ball bearings x4
• 1050 ball bearings x4
• 1150 ball bearings x10

Converted to standard bearings measurements (inner dia. x outer dia. x thickness):

• 5 x 8 x 2.5mm (4 pieces)
• 5 x 10 x 4mm (4 pieces)
• 5 x 11 x 4mm (10 pieces)

I will report back when the Tamiya original or an aftermarket bearing set become available for sale. In the meantime, have fun building the DT-04 kit.
