I’m starting this blog today to look for even more fulfillment. I’ve been posting RC car content daily on Instagram since May 2019. I’ve made a modest number of YouTube videos. So this blog will be the repository of my written word.
Why not just enjoy the hobby?
- Because it helps me gather my thoughts. Keep a record of everything I’ve learned about RC cars. Hopefully, someone will enjoy reading about it one day.
- Because it will help me focus my daily energy towards something productive and meaningful to me… and to a lot of RC beginners and long-time hobbyists.
- Because I want to contribute to the RC community with my insight and point of view.
My mission for this blog is to bring awareness to the Remote Control Cars hobby. It has brought me endless hours of safe and enjoyable fun. I think it is a wonderful hobby for future generations. It teaches physics, electronics, mechanics and even chemistry. RC Cars are a great alternative to video games. Kids and adults of any age can enjoy this indoor / outdoor activity that brings people together.
What I hope to get out of this blog in the coming years:
- Free stuff to review
- Advertising revenue
- Recognition from the RC community
- An email from a RC newbie saying one of my articles helped them
- More free stuff to review
I do hope for these things. I put a lot of time and my own money into the RC car hobby. I’m not going to quit working tomorrow but I do hope to do this full-time one day.
I promise to disclose if I’m getting any benefit from reviewing a product. I also promise to not be overly critical of any products (unless it sets my car on fire). I’ll point out the good, the bad and the awesome in the RC car hobby.
I’ll help you make a decision on what to buy based on your budget and your interests. I’ll write about brands that you may not have heard of and of the brands you see at your local hobby store.
